Chief Financial Officer

Hi everyone my name is Gabrielle Rind. I am currently an undergraduate junior majoring in Biology and serve as Chief Financial Officer for Best Buddies FAU. I love to be involved here on campus as I am the Associate Director for Multicultural Programming (MP) in Student Government and also serve on the board of the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) as the Director of Civic Engagement. My ambition is to attend Medical School upon graduating with hopes of becoming a Pediatrician.

I love to give back to the community, which is one of the main reasons that I joined Best Buddies. Being able to put a smile on so many people’s faces is a very rewarding feeling as I believe that everyone should be treated equally, regardless of any disability that they may have. Sheilin Hamid

Director of Civic Engagement

Hello! I am Sheilin Hamid, and I’m currently a senior pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Behavior. As for my future, I aspire to achieve a career in medicine and become a great physician. I have also been involved in research using bioinformatics tools to identify potential targets for various cancers. I was informed about Best Buddies through my friend and I am honored to be a part of this amazing organization.

Best Buddies team works for their community and is based on the foundation of altruism. In my capacity as the Director of Civic Engagement at Best Buddies I will be planning and executing events that contribute to uplifting the lives of individuals with special needs and encourage their participation in our community. Brianna Vindiola

Director of Risk Management

Hi everybody! My name is Brianna Vindiola, I will be serving as the Director of Risk Management for FAU's Best Buddies International Chapter. I am a biological sciences major with a focus on pre-veterinarian studies. I am also currently involved as the Chief Financial officer/VP of Finance of Multicultural Association of Pre-health Students/ Student National Medical Association, a member of Pre-Veterinary Association, previous Historian of Health Occupation Students of America and current member, and a Chartering sister of Phi Mu Fraternity, and previously a resident assistant (R.A) with Housing & Residential Life. I hope to work with wild life in my professional future, my dream is to become a zoo veterinarian. Some of my hobbies include snorkeling, deep sea and cave diving as well as long walks on the beach (literally) volunteering with Gumbo Limbo's Turtle Rangers.

I joined Best Buddies after one special learning service experience I had with SAVI's Day of Service where we volunteered at South Florida's Equine Assisted Therapies. I am looking forward to an awesome year, and getting to create new experiences with our current and new members! Hi everyone,

My name is Mateo and I am 19 years old and currently majoring in finance. I was born in Panama City Beach and then raised in Tampa. My hobbies are listening to EDM, video games, and playing the viola. I am just now going into my second year at FAU and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else! I am a brother of Pi Kappa Phi, Go Greek! I am the Philanthropy Chairman for my fraternity and it brings me joy to raise money for our amazing philanthropy, The Ability Experience. I go to the gym everyday, fitness is a very important part of my life. I also enjoy going to the beach, and spending quality time with others.

Camryn Lang

Hello! My name is Camryn Lang. I am currently a freshman at FAU majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. As only being a freshman I am very eager to join all the amazing groups FAU has to offer, just like Best Buddies! I have been involved with Best Buddies since my sophomore year of high school. I was just an associate member that year, but after that I became an officer as the Friendship Walk Coordinator during my junior year, and then the Chapter President my senior year!

Best Buddies has granted me many wonderful opportunities that have given me amazing experiences, as well as lifelong friendships. As the Director of Chapter Events, I would like to hold events that everyone enjoys! So please feel free to email me with any ideas or even opportunities you think would benefit this program!
